Oversized Composite Swing Doors

CDL acoustical oversized metal swing doors are designed to your custom sizes. Made from heavy duty steel faced acoustic panels to provide superior strength and insulating properties, making them suitable as sound barriers up to STC56. Fire ratings are optional up to two hours to NFPA252.

Available as single or double leaf doors, CDL oversized acoustic swing doors come complete as a door set with door leaf, frame and hardware factory fitted. Depending upon the size these doors can be either manually or power operated.

Mounted from three part flag type hinges to provide fixed point to enable compression of acoustic seals mounted at the closed position onto the integral door frame and the center joint. The compression of the acoustic seal system being aided by the mortise latch assembly hardware to the active leaf.

Hinged along one side to allow the oversized door to pivot away from the doorway in one direction, but not the other. The CDL heavy duty ball bearing hinges are custom made with three designs depending upon the door type and size.  All hinges are designed with a grease nipple to give easy access for maintenance.

Oversized acoustic composite doors come with a choice of colors in plastisol coated steel, a heavy duty coating applied during manufacture of the steel sheet. Plastisol finish is tougher than polyester powder coat paint and suitable for exterior and marine applications. Doors can also be prepared for cladding or veneer finishes.
